Village Laguna board member Greg Shaffer and Laguna Neighbors co-founder Chris Quilter share their thoughts on the Village Laguna-supported lawsuit against the Kirby family. As we commonly see with Village Laguna tactics, Mr. Shaffer does not disclose his affiliation with Village Laguna, whereas Mr. Quilter’s letter makes it clear that he is a co-founder of Laguna Neighbors. Note also that Mr. Shaffer’s letter contains multiple purposefully misleading inaccuracies, for example stating that the Kirby project would “almost double [the] size” of the home, when in actuality the numbers that Mr. Shaffer included in his own letter show that the increase is 53% - far from “almost double”.
